Hike Emosson Dams and dinosaur route
We arrive at the new Emosson dam at about 8.15am, equipped with new hiking boots and packed lunch. The larger newer Emosson Dam is immense, we hiked directly up and over the next mountain a view point where you get an amazing view of Mont Blanc and the Aletsch glacier on the Swiss, French boarder.

Nigel rode in the Papival tour on Friday night, so Monday after the TDF we decided to have a look at the route http://www.papival-bike-tour.ch/Ayent.html It’s a really hard climb from St Romain up to Anzère but fun on the way down, lots of rustic little chalets in the forest stages.

Getting faster, although it rained for the race and there were people sliding off in the forest stages everywhere.

The Tour de France came to Verbier last weekend 19th July. We thought a good way to go would be to mountain bike, no parking or sitting in traffic!!!.
Friends wanted to meet at 8am!!! in Les Collons, so we arrived after a fairly heavy night of drinking at Theytaz sports. Nigel cycled from the shop to Siviez, I took the more leisurely route from Thyon 2000 to Siviez. The cows don't get hurt, just a bit of a bitch fight head to head
until one backs down, they fight each other until a winner is decided.
The winning cow will demand a much higher price if sold.
